@even I totally agree with you. Having a job does not = productive. I work with autistic kids and they have a lot to offer the world even if they never have a 'job'

My parents worry about that all the time, which is why my mom is helping me get to the point where I can handle things when her and dad are gone.

I understand the point behind the article though, exploring other options for those with disabilities, so they can be independent and taken care of after their parents are no longer around...

I don't have autism, but my life is much the same as theirs in that aspect, that I still have to live at home and don't have a "productive" life...

I just hate it how some people view disabled people as "unproductive in society" just because they don't have a job. There are other ways to be productive, aren't there?

@ZR: the exact words of this article were "aren't productive in society" It was an article about autism and how those who have it don't have many options after high school.
